Framed art prints

It is really nice when you see your artwork in frames. I decided it was about time to display some of my illustrations in my apartment. I framed two of my illustrations 'What a smacker' and 'You are lovely'.

I framed these myself using a purple frame I bought from Urban Outfitters and a black frame I bought from Dunnes Stores. In the first photo I included some of my inspiration a Charlie Harper notebook and 'This is for you'  Rob Ryan book. Also included is my lovely shaker box that I made in secondary school for my leaving certificate final project. :)

Retro Flowers

'Retro Flowers' is another invitation idea, I am really getting into this! I'm enjoying working with vector shapes and patterns. I decided a fun colour palette would be suitable for this design.

Check out the iPhone and Laptop cases, I hope you like them!

Heart of hearts

This is a graphic element from 'The Elephants with the heart of hearts' illustration. I thought the 'Heart of hearts' might work nice in colour and as a stand alone image.

I tend to do a lot of doodle sketches and leave them for a long time. Lately I've been looking through my drawing books and scanning in some of the work I like and think will either work as a pattern or a stand alone graphic.

Recently I have decided that when I am working on illustrations I will have to keep in mind how they will work on products. I'm loving this direction at the moment!

I hope you enjoy my illustration and design work in 2012! :o)

The elephants with the heart of hearts

This is my first illustration of 2012 titled 'The elephants with the heart of hearts'

I have been working on some ideas for wedding invitations for my two good friends. I decided I will do a few different illustrations, so that the couple have a choice to pick from. I want the artwork to be romantic and fun as I feel it is important to represent the lovely couple. Anyway this is one design I have completed so far., there are a few more to come!

Floral Motif - Vector Designs

Floral Motif Design

I was working on this floral motif a few months ago and just finished it recently.
Starting with a pencil sketch, I then scanned the image and reworked them in Illustrator. I chose quite vibrant colours as an experiment. I'll have to test these in print to see how they will look, but for the moment you can purchase a blue toned version from Society6!
